Nigeria records 328 new cases of COVID-19 :Lagos top list with 121 new cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced fresh 328 cases of coronavirus in the country.
The national health agency announced the new cases via its Twitter page yesterday evening,Friday June 5 .

According to the release

Lagos state lead the pack with 121 new cases while

FCT follows with 70,

Bauchi 25,

Rivers 18, and Oyo 16.
With the latest report, Nigeria now has a total of 11844 cases with 333 deaths and 3696 recoveries.

COVID-19: Lagos government considers full reopening of economy

The Lagos state government is considering the full reopening of its economy which has been under partial lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in a statement on Sunday, May 17, said that the government was considering full re-opening of the critical sectors of its economy, even though the move will not be pushed in a hurry.
Governor Babajide advises businesses to begin to adjust to the realities of COVID-19.

He disclosed that in the coming days, the government would be rolling out a register-to-open initiative as part of the plans that would enable it to assess the level of readiness of the players in the identified sectors for supervised operations.
The governor advised businesses to begin to adjust to the realities of COVID-19 by ensuring their workspaces comply with physical distancing guidelines.

Sanwo-Olu said the state government was still in the process of reviewing and considering how the phased unlocking will happen.

He urged Lagos state residents to always wear a face mask when moving around, noting that failing to observe other public health guidelines have health risks.
